The incident took place when a Malaysian grandmother took her grandson shopping. At some point, while playing inside the vehicle, the child unintentionally locked the doors. Although the air conditioning was running, ensuring his safety from the heat, he was too young to figure out how to unlock the door.

Panic set in as a crowd gathered around the car. Several bystanders attempted to help, including one man who tried using industrial tape to lower the window. Despite their efforts, nothing worked.

Just as frustration grew, a Bangladeshi worker stepped forward with a steel rod and a set of spanners. He quickly fashioned a hook at the tip of the rod, carefully inserting it through the door gap while using a cloth to prevent scratches. After a few tense moments, he successfully unlocked the door.

The relief was instant. The emotional grandmother rushed to embrace her grandson, while the crowd applauded the worker’s ingenuity. He received pats on the back, smiling modestly before walking away.

The heartwarming moment was shared on TikTok by @chandravathanan_39, who reflected on the importance of unity: “In times of trouble, nationality doesn’t matter. We help each other.”
