A TikTok user, @niztaqq._x8, captured the aftermath, showing cars abandoned and covered in mud. “Heavier than in the movies, this is Hatyai,” he wrote, summing up the shock felt by many.
Among the wreckage, several cars with Malaysian number plates could be seen, prompting concern and sympathy from Malaysians online. Many expressed heartfelt wishes for the vehicle owners, hoping their matters would be eased and that they would stay strong through the recovery process. Some noted how upsetting it must be to face such a loss, imagining how difficult it would be if it were their own cars.
