Malaysian VIPs have been stressed out trying to score tickets to G-Dragon’s upcoming show—some even blaming scalpers for snapping them up too fast.

Thankfully, the organisers have stepped in to detect and take action against suspicious ticket activity. But while everyone else was caught up in the chaos, one Malaysian woman accidentally brought some comic relief to the situation.

Sharing her experience on XiaoHongShu, Piann Lee revealed that she mistakenly bought tickets to see the legendary saxophonist Kenny G, thinking they were for G-Dragon.

“In the rush to grab GD tickets, I thought I got lucky. I managed to enter, picked my seats and paid. But when the confirmation email came, I realised it was for Kenny G… not GD,” she wrote. “I really embarrassed myself.”

The total damage? RM 875.44 for two Kenny G tickets. Hey, not bad!

Her post quickly went viral, with Malaysians commenting how her story gave them a much-needed laugh during the ticketing madness.

One user wrote, “HAHAHA, didn’t you think it was odd how easy it was to get those tickets?”

Another commented, “Your post cured my disappointment over missing GD’s tickets.”

Instead of sulking, Piann Lee decided to make the most of the situation. While many asked if she was planning to resell the tickets, she explained in the comments that she would be attending the concert after all… just not with the same company she had in mind.

“I originally wanted to go with my colleagues because my husband isn’t a G-Dragon fan. But since he does like Kenny G, I’ll go with him instead,” she said. “I didn’t expect to make so many people laugh, but I’m still happy.”

It may not be the concert she intended, but Piann Lee turned a mix-up into a wholesome date night—proof that sometimes, even a wrong ticket can lead to the right kind of memory.
