The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected many industries and businesses, one of which is the retail industry.
On Friday (30 October), Robinsons Malaysia announced that it will close two of its stores in Malaysia, located at The Gardens Mall and Shoppes at Four Seasons Place.
Following the announcement, long queues were found outside Robinsons at The Gardens mall as shoppers were eager to get items for discounted prices during their closing-down sale.

One of the shoppers told Oriental Daily: “I arrived at 10 in the morning and found that the door hadn’t been opened yet. So, I stood at the door and waited. I didn’t expect that there would be a long queue soon.”
Robinsons recently reported that it was unable to maintain its operations, and announced that it would close two of its stores in Malaysia and the last two stores in Singapore.
Tough times for everyone right now. Stay positive, and stay safe!
