Do you remember playing the theme song to Titanic on the recorder back in primary school?
Well, you’re in for a shock, because kids these days aren’t playing simple tunes on the recorder any longer but are jamming to electropop!
In a viral video posted by Twitter user @theb0binsky, a group of primary school students were seen rocking to Dance Monkey by Tones and I on the ukulele, and they sounded amazing!
The students were singing in unison to the lyrics of the song while strumming the ukulele effortlessly. To complete the ensemble there were also several other students on the drums, chimes and even an electric guitar!
We’re not sure how many times we’ve replayed the clip, but other Twitter users can’t seem to get enough of the students’ rendition of the popular hit song either!
The video has gained over 20K retweets, with hundreds of comments commenting on how amazed they are by the talented students.
Many were also jealous that the students got to play such cool instruments and covered even cooler music, when compared to our recorder playing days back then.
Kudos to the teacher for allowing the kids to explore their creativity. We wish we were there with the kids, playing, singing and just having a good time!
