Kind Mechanic Steps In to Help Stranded Family With Two Kids and Only RM30 at 1 AM

A touching act of kindness has warmed the hearts of many Malaysians.

A family of four was left stranded in the middle of the night after their motorcycle broke down, with only RM30 left in their pockets. A mechanic stepped in to help, and his generosity moved even the father to tears.

According to the video shared on TikTok, the incident happened at about 1 AM near Bukit Jalil. The mechanic explained that he received a message from a man asking for help because the motorcycle chain had snapped and the sprocket was missing.

He initially told the man that his shift had already ended at 10 PM. But everything changed when the man sent a photo showing the broken motorcycle and his two young daughters. The mechanic immediately replied again and asked for their exact location.

When the father asked about the repair cost, the mechanic told him it would be around RM140. The man explained that he only had RM30 and refused the service at first, saying he would try to find another solution.

The mechanic insisted on helping because it was late at night and the family had children with them. He told the father to pay RM30 first and settle the remaining amount at the end of the month.

When the mechanic finally arrived, he went live on TikTok and shared the entire repair process. While fixing the motorcycle, he told the father something that brought him to tears: “It’s okay. Someone has already paid for the repairs. Seriously, this is true. Today I will help you, and maybe one day you will help others too.”

The emotional moment ended with the two men hugging, grateful for the kindness shared that night.

Netizens quickly filled the comment section with support and offers to help.

One user wrote, “Please send me your QR. His bill is on me.”

Another said, “I hope this man opens a channel for donations to help those in need.”

Someone else added, “You moved me to tears, and I’m a tough guy.”
