SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan: The Idol So Wealthy, Jaejoong Calls Him His "Rich Friend"

JYJ's Jaejoong, a seasoned artist in the K-pop industry known for his multifaceted talent as a singer, actor, and composer, recently sat down for an interview with Stray Kids' Bang Chan and Han.

These two members are also part of the rap-composition sub-unit 3RACHA, renowned for their extensive songwriting credits.

During the interview, Jaejoong couldn’t help but comment on the duo’s impressive repertoire, suggesting they must be quite wealthy from their musical successes. He drew a parallel to another young, affluent K-pop idol he knows: SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan.

"Among the idol singers younger than me, there’s a young rich person I know. It’s Jeonghan," Jaejoong remarked.

The unlikely friendship between Jaejoong and Jeonghan blossomed while they were filming the variety show "Magic Lamp" in 2023. Given the staggering number of concerts and albums SEVENTEEN has sold, it's no surprise that Jaejoong refers to Jeonghan as his “rich friend.”

He playfully noted, "Aren’t you close with him and the other members? I call them ‘rich friends.’ I can ask them to buy a meal for me."

The camaraderie between Jaejoong and Jeonghan is well-documented, with both idols frequently mentioning each other in shows or social media posts. Jaejoong, who is 38 years old, often refers to the 28-year-old Jeonghan as his “beloved younger brother.”

Their friendship highlights a charming aspect of the K-pop world, where bonds can form across different generations and groups. Fans, too, might wonder where they can find their own "rich friend Jeonghan.”
