Iron Man In Sabah Takes Mock Vaccine So He Can Be An Example To Other People!

Even Iron Man has taken the COVID-19 vaccine. So, what’s your excuse?

Just like many of us, Yohan Charles Jayasuria was hopeful to be inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine, but the closest that he could get for now was to film himself in an Iron Man costume taking a mock vaccination.

According to NST, the 40-year-old cosplayer said that despite not getting the real vaccine after a month or two wait, he said it was still meaningful to spread the awareness to encourage people to register for the vaccination.

“The idea first came from Persatuan Penggerak Penampang Sabah (PPPS) and the Rotary Club who have been delivering lunch boxes since last month to frontliners at the vaccination centre at Penampang Cultural Hall.

“Many people are still afraid of getting the vaccines due to inaccurate information and fear of needles, so the PPPS suggested to film me getting the vaccine,” he said.

Yohan has been using cosplay to do charity work since 2011!

Two weeks ago, Yohan also donated blood in his costume to encourage other people to help with the blood shortages at hospitals.

“When it’s my time to get vaccinated, I will also put on my costume for it. I just have to be patient as the vaccine supply is limited and priority is given to those in the high-risk groups,” he added.

So far, Sabah has administered 10,790 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Wednesday (June 30th), and will soon be administering over 30,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine per day.

Let’s register for the COVID-19 vaccine, guys!
