Inspiring Malaysian Boy Aspires To Be A Pro Gamer Despite Living With A Disability

A young Malaysian boy proves that if you really want something, you’ll do anything to achieve it as long as you are determined.

Despite only having one functioning hand, it didn’t stop Danish from aspiring to become a professional gamer.

Recently, Twitter user Muhammad Danish Danial (@gutsayhello) shared his story about how he had wanted to make a career out of professional gaming despite being handicapped. He also described how his family had never been supportive of his goals.

“I’ve always wanted to be a professional gamer, but my parents have never supported my dreams,” he said in a tweet.

Speaking to SYOK, Danish said that he was involved in an accident in April 2018 which caused him to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a week. He then lost the function of his left hand and had to undergo many surgeries to try and recover it, but with no luck.

After the accident, Danish was advised by his doctors to take the year off from school, and that is when he started spending most of his time playing video games on his mobile phone.

Last year, after finishing his SPM exams, Danish started playing games again, and realised his passion and love for e-Sports gaming. He said: “I just want to prove to my parents, despite being one-handed, I am still able to do what other people can do”

His tweet has since garnered a lot of attention with over 12,000 retweets.

All the best, Danish, we’re all here rooting for you!
