Sometimes, there are people who live comfortably with what they have and never feel the need for more. This uncle is a perfect example of someone who is truly grateful and always feels content with enough.

An 80-year-old Indian uncle recently caught the attention of many after he politely declined financial help from a social media influencer.
The encounter happened in a convenience store and was shared on TikTok by @cahayaicha__. The influencer wanted to offer him some groceries and money, but the elderly man kindly refused, “No need, I cook with wood. I am 80 years old. Help others, I have nothing. My time is coming soon anyway,” he said calmly.
He explained that he is thankful for the government assistance he receives, RM600 every month, and that it is sufficient for his needs, “If you want to give, just one note is enough. That can last me seven to eight days. It is better if you give to others,” he added.
This humble uncle’s attitude teaches us several important lessons. Being content with what we have can bring peace, and sometimes the greatest kindness is knowing when to share and when to accept help.
Gratitude and generosity go hand in hand, and we can all learn from his example!
