Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing made another stop in Malaysia recently, returning to Melaka for a series of events. Each visit, she said, feels new and full of pleasant surprises.

During her trip, she was greeted by Malaysian host and radio DJ Emely Poon, who shared a warm moment with the actress on Instagram. Emely remarked that Melaka is fortunate to have Bingbing as its ambassador, to which the actress replied humbly, “No, it’s a blessing for both parties.”
Dressed in a traditional Nyonya outfit, Bingbing revealed that she took countless photos in the historic city. Unlike her past visits, this time she also enjoyed the dazzling fireworks and drone shows that lit up Melaka’s skies.
Beyond her ambassadorial role, Bingbing has been busy with her film projects in Malaysia. She spent time in Kedah filming Mother Bhumi, a production that has since gained international recognition. The movie was shortlisted for the Tokyo International Film Festival and earned nominations in eight categories, including Best Actress.
Earlier this year, on 24 August, Fan Bingbing was officially conferred with a Datukship in Melaka. In her acceptance, she promised to continue highlighting Melaka through her stories and to contribute to the state’s growth and cultural visibility.
