How cool! The tree is older than all of us!

A 135-year-old Samanea Saman tree, also known as the "Hujan-Hujan," that fell after a storm last Tuesday (February 22nd) at the Taiping Lake Gardens has been replanted and is now being treated.
The tree was replanted with some of its branches clipped and its roots and soil treated, according to the Taiping Municipal Council (MPT).
The replanting operation was handled and carefully overseen by qualified arborists two days ago.
The main reason the tree fell, according to MPT president Khairul Amir Mohamad Zubir, was due to a weak structure combined with the storm that day.

MPT will continue to monitor and care for the tree for the next 12 months until it recovers, he said.
He also mentioned that the area around the tree has been designated with security tape for public safety reasons.
