How big of a predicament would you have to be in for you to consciously decide to drive against traffic?

We’re guessing, pretty big!

A 73-year-old man was arrested in Shah Alam, Selangor yesterday (October 29th), after he literally drove against traffic and caused two accidents in the process.

This happened on the Kemuning Shah Alam Expressway (LKSA), heading towards Shah Alam city centre, and a video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

Warning: it’s quite nerve-racking!

Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Baharudin Mat Taib revealed that another motorist was left injured.

“In the first accident at Km3.1, a 33-year-old motorist was injured when the car he was driving overturned while trying to avoid the car driven by the senior citizen.

“In the accident at Km6.6, a Perodua Myvi collided with the car after failing to swerve in time,” he explained.

It’s understood that the man had lost his way heading to a supermarket in Section 13.

He then inadvertently drove into the LKSA when he realised he did not have a Touch & Go card, and decided to to turn back and drive against traffic to return to his house in Section 8.

The case is being investigated under the Road Transport Act for reckless driving.

What would you have done in this situation?
