A period leak is (quite literally) when your period leaks through your protection. It’s not like they choose to have their periods, right? So, be kind!

An e-hailing driver recently took to Facebook, complaining about a female passenger who was believed to have left “period stains” on his car seat.
“Because of this RM4 fare, my entire car now smells fishy.” he wrote in his Facebook post.
He then said that there was a bad fishy smell in his car after dropping off a female passenger.
The driver then stopped his car to check the back seats and found some stains, “I tried smelling it and the smell made me want to puke.
“I wasn’t happy so I took a cloth and wiped the stain. It turned out to be something red so I believed it was period blood. I searched on the internet what period blood was supposed to smell like and it smelled the same,” he continued.
He then sent his car for cleaning and received a claim from his work center, “But the problem now is, I’ve lost my appetite.”

The post has since received a lot of attention and Malaysians were quick to share their thoughts on it. Many sided with the passenger saying that she had no control over what happened.
“Periods are natural. It happens to every woman, even the ones in our homes - your mothers, sisters, daughters and friends. Relax, it’s not that serious,” said one person.
Another person said that no women usually don’t know when their period starts to leak, “We’re usually unaware of the situation, and it was never intentional. Most of the time you can’t even feel that you’re on your period!”
