Two thieves were caught on camera sneaking into a convenience store in Meru, Klang and blowing up an ATM machine before running away at around 4:20am on Tuesday (February 8th).

Facebook user Alex Law shared the CCTV footage showing the thieves placing a handmade bomb near the ATM machine which then exploded a few seconds later.
They were then seen scooping cash into two duffel bags before running away.
According to China Daily, the North Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao confirmed the incident and said police have received public reports.
“We’ve sent officers from the Criminal Division and Selangor Scientific Forensic team, and they are tracking down the men and the stolen cash,” he said.

The amount of cash stolen is yet to be confirmed.
The case is now being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for burglary and breaking-in.
