Bollywood Star, Amitabh Bachchan Has Tested Positive For COVID-19

The Bachchans are back, only this time with not so good news.

Amitabh Bachchan, one of India’s most icnoic actors tweeted that he had tested positive for the coronavirus. Soon after, his son, Abishek Bachchan also broke the same news to his fans.

T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..
All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !

Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. 🙏🏽

The 77 year-old requested everyone who was in close proximity with him to get themselves tested as well.

Amitabh and former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai’s husband, Abhishek have been taken to Navanati Hospital in Mumbai after showing mild symptoms. Sources said that they were both in stable condition and are being well taken care of.

Just minutes after tweeting, the father and son duo received tonnes of love and ‘get well soon’ messages from fellow stars and fans.
