Two Businessmen Lost RM710,000 Involving The Sale Of COVID-19 Test Kits

Two police reports have been lodged in Selangor in connection with cheating involving the sale of COVID-19 test kits. 

According to The Star, Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Mohd Kamaruddin Md Din said it involved about RM710,000 in losses.

“Both victims are businessmen who dealt with a company that claimed it could help purchase the test kits from a China-based company.

“After payment was made, the victims did not receive the test kits.”

He added that the victim then checked with the company in China and found out that no orders were made for the test kits. 

Alamak! 

Scammers can sometimes be very convincing, so please do not fall into their trap. Always be careful and informed!
