Sep 09, 2021

Malaysians, most likely bored at home, are dressing up in awesome costumes to get their COVID-19 vaccines!

Recently, self-employed Wan Mohd Farid Wan Mansor - who really admires the comic book character Deadpool, was willing to splurge some cash to secure the superhero’s costume.

However, he rarely got the chance to wear the attire except when playing with his nieces and nephews at Jalan Merbau in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

According to NST, the 38-year-old was elated after being given the chance to wear the costume while getting his first COVID-19 vaccine jab at a vaccination center.

“Today is the happiest day of my life. It is also historic as I got the chance to show off my favourite costume to people.

“I have always admired Deadpool and his movies. Today, I am him in front of others including the frontliners,” he said.

He also wanted to put on the costume to encourage people to get vaccinated and to show that there was nothing to fear.

“I wanted to show people that even a strong person like a superhero is willing to get a vaccine against the coronavirus.

“So, we regular people, should not be afraid of being inoculated.” he added.

See, even superheroes need protection from COVID-19!

So, what are you waiting for?! Go lah get the vaccine.
