Our COVID-19 Situation Is Improving!

The country’s COVID-19 situation continues to show improvement.

The Health Ministry says daily new cases, fatalities, hospitalizations and ICU rates last week were all generally on a descending trend.

This is in line with the increase in COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the country, which makes the reopening of various sectors more convincing, says the health director-general.

As such, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah urged the public not to be complacent and to continue adhering to SOPs.

The country’s COVID-19 cases continued to drop for the second day in a row, with 5,745 infections.

Only 115, or 2% of the new cases were in the more severe categories three, four and five.

The majority of the cases were either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic.

98 peratus kes terdiri daripada kategori 1 dan 2 iaitu tidak bergejala atau bergejala ringan.

Sementara itu, hampir 71 peratus penduduk Malaysia sudah terima vaksinasi COVID-19 yang lengkap.
