Phase two of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme starts from April 19th in eight states (Kedah, Pahang, Pulau Pinang, Melaka, Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Labuan), and the MySejahtera app has started notifying eligible senior citizens who have chronic diseases or any disability.

If you live with a senior citizen, you might want to check on their behalf and keep yourself updated.

If you have enabled notifications, you will receive a pop-up notification on your phone upon confirmation. You will then have to complete your vaccination assessment, which basically requires you to fill in some details.

Once that’s done, your vaccination appointment will be confirmed and you will be able to see the venue, as well as the time and date of appointment under the vaccination section of the app.

The eligible recipients will be notified via the app at least two weeks in advance. You will also receive a phone call and SMS reminder three days prior to the vaccination date.

So, there’s no excuse for not turning up. Users will be given the option to accept or decline the vaccination in the MySejahtera app. If you have clicked “accept”, please make sure you’re there on the day of appointment to avoid wastage of the vaccine.

Upon completion of the vaccination, a digital vaccination certificate will be issued to you.

Let’s be responsible, people! The fight against COVID-19 is not over yet!

If you haven’t registered, here’s how to do so.
