An 40-year-old Indonesian woman was found dead in her flat in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday morning (February 9th), following an altercation with her husband over a TikTok video.
It’s understood that the couple had a fight on Monday night (February 8th), after the victim spotted her husband making the video with his second wife.
“She reacted by scolding him, but was then allegedly punched and slapped numerous times until she became motionless. The suspect left her at the house alone before heading to Klang,” said Petaling Jaya district police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal.
He added that bruises were found on her body but the cause of death had yet to be determined.
The main suspect, the victim’s 29-year-old Pakistani husband, was arrested in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday afternoon, while his 45-year-old second wife was arrested in Klang shortly after.
Both suspects have been remanded for six days and the case is being investigated for murder.
