Don’t end up breaking your game controller out of annoyance just yet!
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has just released a statement to explain why internet users, particularly gamers, haven’t been able to access several gaming servers such as EA, Ubisoft, and PlayStation Network (PSN) lately.
TM clarifies that it does not have the intention of blocking gaming serves as it clearly understands that video games and esports are increasingly becoming a big part of our lives. In fact, after a thorough investigation, it was revealed that the issue not only affected unifi users, but also gamers on other networks in Malaysia and around the world, leading TM to believe that the problem at hand is not exclusively related to only TM’s network.
According to TM, difficulties in accessing game serves are most often caused by multiple logins and wrong logins attempts. As such, TM recommends that users reach out to the respective server providers directly to check if there are issues with their login ID or if there are any configuration steps that they might have missed to resolve the issue.
Internet users can also seek help from the unifi community to find like-minded users that may have encountered similar problems and found a solution for it. Users having problems with their PSN Network Address Translation (NAT) configuration can also visit (https://community.unifi.com.my/t5/unifi-mobile/NAT-TYPE/td-p/11810) to help solve their issues.
So, don’t worry gamers, TM is on it!
