Slow moving traffic heading towards the Gombak toll plaza on the KL-Karak Highway is no longer unusual these days.
This is because roadblocks have been set up near the area for those approaching and leaving KL.
However, yesterday’s (July 22nd) jam was heavier than usual.
Traffic from the Gombak rest and service area (R&R) towards the Gombak toll plaza started slowing down as early as 4 pm.

By 5:40 pm, the crawl was causing up to a one-hour delay heading towards KL.

Traffic was still heavy for 2.5km till 7 pm - Usually by this time, traffic would have started to clear up.

Even as the rush hour had passed, the traffic congestion remained at an hour crawl until 9 pm.

Six hours later, the congestion finally started to die down at around 10:30 pm.
That was intense! We hope everyone reached their destinations safely.
