Pep Guardiola’s side begin their campaign with a trip to Tottenham on the opening day of the season. They will then take on Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool…all within their first seven matches.
City are not the only ones shaking their head at the fixture calendar – Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have also suffered the wrath of the fixture computer.

Runners-up Man United have been handed a relatively easier start to the season, with no Big Six opponents until October.
However, the pressure on the Red Devils will be dialed up significantly in October and November with back-to-back games against Leicester, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City…in addition to ties against Chelsea and Arsenal.
Chelsea, too, are in for a rough start, with games against Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City within their first six matches.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will open their campaign with what should be a comfortable tie against newcomers Brentford…before diving straight into back-to-back matches against Chelsea and Man City.

As for Liverpool, they’ve been lucky enough to get a gentle start to the season, although their mettle will be tested over the Christmas period with three away games against Spurs, Leicester and Chelsea within the space of two weeks.
This should all make for a cracking season of football ahead!
The 2021/2022 Premier League season kicks off on the weekend of August 14th.
