Firefighters were also seen under the bridge, installing nets to catch her in case she falls.

According to Harian Metro, the girl tried to jump off the Bukit Tinggi flyover of the Karak-KL Highway from the Gombak Plaza Toll towards Bentong because she claimed to be depressed after being reprimanded by her father.

It’s understood that she became depressed after her father confiscated her phone because she played too many video games.

The victim is also undergoing treatment for depression.

According to Bentong District Police chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the police received an emergency call at around 2:12 pm before sending a team from the Bukit Tinggi Police station to the scene.

In the video, you can see one of the police officers, Bukit Tinggi Police Station chief, Sergeant Major Maznan Omar, slowly creeping up behind her before managing to pull her away from the ledge.
