The Health Ministry today reported 100 new COVID-19 cases as of today (8 September), with 62 of the cases coming from the Benteng cluster in Sabah.

Meanwhile, the other 23 new cases came from the Sungai cluster in Kedah.
Yesterday (7 June), Malaysia recorded 62 new cases, 56 from local transmissions while the remaining six were imported cases.
The last time Malaysia recorded more than 50 cases in a single day was 4 June, when 277 new cases were reported.
