Smartphones are pretty nifty gadgets that most of us can’t live without (deny it all you want, we know you won’t last 5 minutes without your phone). At the same time, it is undeniable that the little devices can be quite a threat if used wrongly.
One Twitter user who was taking the LRT at around 5p.m. noticed something strange about a fellow passenger. Dressed decently in a shirt, long pants and shoes, he was sitting in the next row. With earphones plugged in, he looked to be oblivious to everything around him - except for the fact that his phone was placed at an odd angle. The back of his phone, where the camera is, was pointing directly at her while he continued staring ahead, maybe hoping she wouldn’t notice.

The distraught girl managed to snap a picture of him and quickly switched seats afterwards. The photo she took was uploaded to Twitter, where netizens told her to stay safe and commended her for being alert.
While we have no confirmation of what really happened, incidents like this are sadly a lot more common than you think. The fact that it is now so easy for people to snap photos or record videos of others without their consent is a pretty scary thought so we would like to remind everyone to stay safe.
Remember to always be alert and ask for help if you need to!
