You better hold off that weekend away in Genting Highlands, since Genting resort’s theme park, casino and hotels will be temporarily shut down this coming two weeks.
Genting Malaysia Bhd has decided to temporarily close its Resorts World Genting from March 18-31, 2020 following the announcement of the Movement Control Order due to the Covid -19 pandemic.
“This will include our hotel facilities, food & beverage outlets, casino, Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, entertainment facilities, attractions, shopping malls and retail outlets at Resorts World Genting,” Genting Malaysia said in a statement posted on its website.
For those who have booked their stay during the said period, their reservations will be cancelled.
“Guests may seek a refund or change their reservation dates. The same applies for reservations made at Resorts World Awana, Resorts World Kijal and Resorts World Langkawi,” it said, adding that tickets purchased for any of its attractions or shows at the resort will also be refunded.
Genting Malaysia also reassures that all essentials resort-based services such as security, bomba, utilities and clinics will remain operational during this period.
Resorts World Genting will resume operations from April 1.
