Public transport comes with a set of rules designed to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers. However, a recent incident on the LRT has sparked concern after an image of a man sitting in an inappropriate spot went viral.

The man, seemingly unfazed, chose to sit on the control panel at the front of the train, facing the glass. His unconventional seating choice quickly caught the attention of fellow commuters, leading to a complaint being lodged with RapidKL.
In response, RapidKL promptly issued a statement reminding passengers that the control panel is not a seat and should never be used as one. They also highlighted the potential dangers of such behaviour.
“The train control panel is not a seat. This dangerous act can compromise your safety and that of other passengers.”
The individual who filed the complaint later identified herself in the comments section of RapidKL’s post. She revealed that after reporting the issue, RapidKL swiftly took action, deploying an officer within five minutes to address the situation.
According to her, the incident took place on the LRT Kelana Jaya line on Saturday, 25th January. She refrained from confronting the man herself out of concern for her own safety.
Upon approaching the man, the officer asked, “Why are you sitting here?” before firmly advising him that it was dangerous. Fortunately, the man complied, getting down from the control panel and removing his luggage, which he had also placed there.
