Woah, imagine getting 150,000 people vaccinated in one day? That is a huge milestone for Malaysia!
According to the New Straits Times, Malaysia hit the highest number of COVID-19 vaccine jabs given in a day on Tuesday (June 8th).
Out of the 150,000 doses, 105,722 were first doses while 45,587 were second doses.
The COVID-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) said that medical officers have been working hard to reach the government’s targets to increase daily vaccination to 200,000 starting July. Wah, that’s a lot!
The government will also introduce mobile vaccination trucks and drive-through vaccination centers around the country in order to reach the target.
On Wednesday (June 9th), Health Minister Dato' Sri Dr. Adham Baba shared on his Twitter that 154,866 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administrated in one day.
So far, 2.5 million people have been vaccinated while another 12 million have already registered for the vaccine.
This is great news! Go register for the COVID-19 vaccine if you haven’t, guys! Let’s get vaccinated!
