We've been watching Health Director-General, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah every single day on the TV for more than three months now during the MCO period, and last Saturday (13 June) the Health Ministry announced that the press conference will cease to be a daily affair starting this week!

But no worries, Dr. Noor Hisham said that the Health Ministry will still continue to provide Malaysians with the latest COVID-19 updates, “We will continue to provide the latest information but perhaps, we will space out the press conferences next week.”
Instead of daily press conferences, the Ministry of Health will space out the press conferences throughout the week - every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The changes were made due to the flattening curve of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.
According to the Malay Mail, Dr. Noor Hisham has held daily live-streamed COVID-19 briefings from 27 February, taking just two days for a break in-between, once on 9 May and the other on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
It’s about time that DG Hisham and the team at the Health Ministry take some time off after the exhausting period of handling the outbreak.
Thank you for your hard work in keeping Malaysians safe and well informed of the COVID-19 situation!
