Your RM100 SARA Credit Runs Out on 31 December — Use It While You Still Can

The one-off RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) credit for Malaysians aged 18 and above is entering its final month of use for this year. Stored directly on recipients’ MyKad, the credit works like a restricted digital balance for essential goods.

It can be used at more than 7,300 participating outlets, but only for the following 14 approved categories:

  • Rice

  • Eggs

  • Instant noodles

  • Canned goods

  • Drinks

  • Seasoning items

  • Biscuits

  • Cooking oil

  • Bread

  • Hygiene items

  • Flour

  • Home cleaning necessities

  • Medications

  • School supplies

While unused funds carry forward month to month, the scheme officially ends on 31 December 2025. Any remaining balance after that date will be forfeited.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has also announced that a fresh RM100 SARA payment will be disbursed to about 22 million Malaysians in mid-February 2026, ahead of the Ramadan and Chinese New Year period.

If you’ve yet to utilise your current credit, be sure to spend it before 31 December this year.
