The number of new COVID-19 infections has continued to rise with 28,825 new cases reported on Saturday (February 19th), highest daily infections ever recorded since the pandemic began almost two years ago.

This brings the total number of infections to 3,194,848.
The number of active cases are now at 243,342 or which, 230,491 (94.7%) were under home quarantine, 5,414 (2.2%) were at quarantine centers while 7,437 (3.05%) in hospitals.
Of those hospitalized, 238 are in the intensive care units with 130 needing ventilator support.
A total of 34 deaths were recorded on Saturday.
Daily #COVID19 cases in the country rose yesterday to 28,825. It's the highest since the start of the pandemic There were also over 18,000 recoveries.
