Five new COVID-19 cases have been detected in KL!
Tung Shin Hospital in Kuala Lumpur will shut down several of its departments for sanitisation purposes after five patients there tested positive for COVID-19.
The hospital management said in a statement, that four locals and one foreigner tested positive for the virus through a pre-surgery screening on 6 October.
The statement read: “The District Health Office was immediately notified and the patients had been transferred to Hospital Sungai Buloh for further treatment.”
They added that all staff who attended to the patients infected were wearing full PPEs.

“Tung Shin Hospital has also closed all affected areas such as A&E Department, Specialist Clinics, Imaging Department, the COVID-19 Isolation Ward for terminal cleaning,” the statement continued.
The hospital resumed its operations today (7 October) and will continue to take necessary precautionary measures to safeguard their patients, visitors, doctors, and staff.
