Heavy rain that lasted for almost two hours since 11 am resulted in landslides and uprooted trees at several locations in Cameron Highlands on Monday (November 22nd).
In one of the cases, a car was badly damaged when a tree fell on top of it near a hotel in Tanah Rata. There were four people in the car and two were injured.

In a media statement issued by the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), among the locations of the landslides and uprooted trees were:

● near Strawberry Park
● near Smoke House Hotel
● route to Boh Sungai Palas
● route to Water Crest
● route to Rose Valley
● Taman MCA Ringlet
● Taman Pelangi, Ringlet
● Batu 20
● Jalan Tapah
● behind Pasar Tanah Rata

Clearance works are still underway and all major roads have been reopened except at Batu 20, which is still temporarily closed.
