DG Hisham Urges M’sians To Stay At Home As ICU Beds Are Getting Full

Our Health director-general Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah is urging Malaysians to stay at home and only go out for essential matters.

The country has been struggling to curb the spread of COVID-19 since we’ve been recording over 6,000 cases daily… 

DG Hisham took to his Facebook to share that we are running out of ICU beds to treat COVID-19 patients.

“Please stay home, because if you and your family are infected with COVID-19, we don’t have enough ICU beds.”

He also reminded everyone to adhere to the SOPs that have been set by the government if you are forced to leave the house for essential businesses.

“There are still people who make movements and gatherings at homes such as holding parties, ceremonies and others, this is very irresponsible.”

On Saturday (June 12th), DG Hisham said that the next two weeks are very crucial and the extension of the Full Movement Control Order (FMCO) is essential for the cases to be reduced to 4,000.
