As of yesterday (February 28th), Malaysia’s total number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic around this time last year has surpassed the 300K-mark - 300,752 to be exact, with 26,205 cases still active.
 
Of the 2,437 new cases reported yesterday, Selangor reported the highest number of infections again with 914 cases followed by  Johor (340), Kuala Lumpur (337), Perak (287), Sarawak (171), Sabah (134) and Penang (105).
 
Meanwhile, states that recorded two and single digit cases are Negeri Sembilan (65), Kelantan (33), Kedah (13), Terengganu (12), Pahang (11), Melaka (10), Putrajaya (3) and Labuan (2).
 
Perlis reported no cases!
 
Also, workplace clusters continue to dominate, with nine new clusters detected - four in Johor, three in Selangor and one each in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
 
As for recoveries, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 3,251 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 273,417.
