In a statement made by the chairman of Selangor’s Local Government, Public Transport, and New Village Development Committee, Ng Sze Han said: “Following the announcement that the operating hours for restaurants and convenience stores are allowed to be extended until 2 am by the National Security Council, the Selangor state government has decided to also allow restaurants and convenience stores in the state of Selangor to operate until 2 am.”
As reported by The Star, Ng also said that as the COVID-19 situation in the state has been under control throughout the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period, it is now time to deal with and restore the economy.
“However, preventing the transmission of COVID-19 remains the state government’s priority. As such, all visitors and operators are reminded to always comply with the SOPs set by MKN and to practice social distancing,” he added.
