On Thursday (1 November), a one-year-old boy was rowing a canoe with his father in the waters of Pangkalan Marin, Lahad Datu Sabah when he was taken away by a crocodile.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 10:05 am. The boy’s father also suffered some minor injuries on his body.

According to Astro AWANI, the head of Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue, Sumsoa Rashid said they dispatched a team to the scene after receiving an emergency call, and immediately started the search and rescue operations.
Officers from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Marine Police Force also provided their assistance in the operation.
The father was saved by members of the public and suffered some injuries to his head and body while his son is still missing and is thought to have been taken by the crocodile.
Oh no! It must be so scary for the father! We hope they find his son soon!
