Planning a Trip to Thailand? Watch Out for This Fake Website When Filling Out Your Arrival Card!

Starting May 2025, all foreign travellers heading to Thailand, including Malaysians, must complete the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the country, whether by air, land, or sea.

The TDAC replaces the traditional Tor Mor 6 (T.M.6) paper form and can be submitted online for free. But be careful—scammers have already launched a fake TDAC website, charging unsuspecting travellers USD10 (around RM43) to process the form, even though the official process doesn’t cost a cent.

According to Bangkok Post, the fake site popped up on the very same day the digital system went live. It poses as a legitimate third-party service but is not connected to the Thai government.

To avoid getting scammed:

The Thai Immigration Bureau advises travellers to submit the form no earlier than 3 days before your arrival date. If you forget or run into issues, don’t panic, computer terminals are available at Suvarnabhumi Airport, and paper forms will be accepted temporarily during this transition period.

Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports has assured the public that the system is fully functional, with backup plans in place to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Safe travels, and make sure you’re filling in the right form!
