Arsenal’s EPL title hopes are as good as over.
This, after their surprise 3-0 defeat to Brighton left them four points adrift of leaders Man City – who also have a game in hand over the Gunners as we enter the final stretch of the campaign.
Even Mikel Arteta admitted that it is now impossible to talk about them winning the title, with the Arsenal boss also apologising to the club’s supporters.

How can City wrap up the title?
City – who have three games remaining - can be crowned EPL champions as soon as this weekend.
Arsenal kick off first with their penultimate game of the season against Nottingham Forest early Sunday morning. A defeat will officially hand the title to City, without Pep Guardiola’s side needing to even kick a ball.
A draw for Arsenal vs Forest will leave City needing just a point from Sunday’s game against Chelsea to seal the title.
But even if the Gunners win on Sunday, City’s title chances are still well within their own control, where a win over Chelsea will hand them the EPL trophy.
In the event that City lose to the Blues, then their next chance to seal the title will come during their away trip to Brighton on May 25th.
Just not good enough from Arsenal
While the Gunners deserve credit for pushing City all the way this season, their recent performances have simply not been good enough for title contenders.
They’ve failed to win five of their last seven league matches as their campaign runs out of steam.
City, by comparison, have romped to 11 successive victories.
Mikel Arteta now faces a crucial summer ahead, with major reinforcements expected to be brought in as the Gunners continue their quest for their first league title since 2004.
