More and more green turtles are found dead, this time at Pantai Sura Hujung in Dungun, Terengganu.
According to Astro AWANI, a 33-year-old housewife Siti Norhairose Azney found the turtle carcass at 2:30 pm and said that there were no physical injuries.

“From a distance, I saw the turtle being carried to the beach by waves. I immediately asked my sister and two children to go closer because we needed to see more clearly to make sure,” she said.
“This is the first time we came across a turtle, but unfortunately the turtle was already dead. I asked for help from the public to bring the turtle ashore and we contacted the Terengganu State Fisheries Department to make a report.”
This is the 12th turtle found dead in Terengganu this month. That’s a LOT!
Terengganu State Fisheries Department director, Ruzaidi Mamat said they received a report on the discovery of the carcass and authorities have been deployed to the location to get more information.
This is sad. We can’t afford to lose another one of our precious turtles!
