Oh no! What a terrible thing to happen to these innocent cats!
A Malaysian man was caught on CCTV at around 5.30am, placing a cat into a washing machine at a self-service laundry located in Desa Aman Puri, Kepong.
According to a report by BERNAMA, Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Arifai Tarawe said that a 39-year-old woman lodged a police report of the incident at 9.30am: “She was about to wash her clothes when she found three dead cats inside three separate washing machines at the outlet.”

“For any cases of animal cruelty, witnesses are advised to keep the carcasses until the DVS Regulatory Unit comes to investigate at the scene as this proof is important to build a strong case for prosecution,” they added.
Malaysia Animal Association demands the authorities to investigate this case under the Animal Welfare Act 2015 where offenders will face a maximum jail term of three years and a maximum fine of RM100,000.
If you have any information, do come forward so that we can bring those responsible to justice!
