11/11 came and went, and you know what that meant- shopping, shopping and shopping!
On 11 November 2018, Alibaba hit up to USD 30.8 billion worth of sales, which was 27% more than what they got in 2017.
This year, the figure was even crazier - sales reached up to USD 12.01 billion in just the first hour!

According to ShopBack Malaysia, this year’s 11/11 sale in our country saw massive traffic spike in the first hour, with over 300% increment as compared to traffic at the same time last year. In comparison to a regular day in November 2019, the growth was 1200% more than normal. By the time the clock reached 9.30 a.m., traffic was the same as the 2018’s 11/11. Wah, we really do love shopping huh?
On 11 November 2018, there was RM 11 million worth of transactions made via ShopBack Malaysia in one day. ShopBack Malaysia is expecting the figure to increase this year, with about half a million worth of cashback given out.
