Malaysia’s home improvement retailer MR D.I.Y. will be launching its first dollar store MR. DOLLAR at Jalan Mahkota, Taman Maluri, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
The new venture, which is of course based on the “dollar store” concept, offers products at a lower fixed price bracket — helping Malaysians stretch their ringgit in an improved and enhanced store space of over 7,000 square feet.
MR. DOLLAR is supported by the tagline “Always RM2 or RM5”, and features a wide range of products — all priced at either RM2 or RM5!
“MR.DOLLAR comes at a time when many Malaysians are increasingly concerned with their household finances. MR.DOLLAR offers the best quality products at a value-buy price point. We believe that if we work together with all Malaysians, we are able to lower the costs of living while simultaneously providing Malaysians with the opportunity to see what it's like to save more and live better,” said MR. D.I.Y. Vice President of Marketing Andy Chin.
“We also wish to assure our customers that MR.DOLLAR puts their health and safety first, and will operate in accordance with the safety and health standard operating procedures set by the government. We aim to open 10 MR.DOLLAR stores nationwide this year,” added Chin.
