As you may or may not know, Zoo Negara has been going through plenty of difficulties financially, trying to stay afloat amid the Movement Control Order (MCO).
It was even reported last month that it only has enough to keep open till February 2021!
However, many individuals and organisations have been doing what they can to help out, and Lazada Malaysia is the latest to jump on the bandwagon.
In conjunction with its upcoming 12.12 Grand Year-End Sale, Lazada Malaysia will be hosting the first-ever virtual tour on LazLive in Zoo Negara, offering RM25 subsidised donation rebates via its digital giving platform LazadaForGood.
The tour, from 10:30 am - 11:30 am on December 11th, will be hosted by Malaysia’s very own renowned doctor-turned-comedian, Dr. Jason Leong, who will be visiting and showcasing feeding sessions for Samba the lion, Vani the white tiger, Flash the cheetah, Choki the Sumatra orangutan, Sibol the elephant, and more.
At each wildlife location that Dr. Jason Leong visits, viewers have the option to donate in real time, and the first 50 donors who donate RM25 at each of the locations will get back RM25 Lazada Wallet 12.12 rebates to shop and enjoy ‘Buy 1, Get 2’ savings and discounts on Lazada 12.12.
“We are touched and grateful for the support from kind-hearted Malaysians that contributed to helping conserve the zoo,” said Zoo Negara Malaysia’s Deputy President, Rosly @ Rahmat Ahmat Lana.
Meanwhile, donations of over RM50 will get you an “Adopt an Animal” e-certificate from Zoo Negara and a voucher to use in the zoo, as part of its virtual adoption programme.
