Here’s a treat for our frontliners; a much-needed time off at one of Malaysia’s luxurious hotels, Club Med!
As a gesture of appreciation, Club Med is extending 200 free resort stays at Club Med Cherating to the frontliners at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Kuantan. Their healthcare staff will be able to enjoy a 3 days 2 nights getaway with their loved ones for a holiday package that includes 2 adults and 1 child. What more, the free resort stays will also be valid for one year once domestic travels are permitted.

Vijay Sharma, General Manager, Club Med South East Asia, has this to say to our hard-working frontliners: “Our hearts go out to the people who have been affected by this exceptional event. Although these are trying times for all of us, the frontline healthcare workers have been the beacon of hope as they work to contain the situation. Club Med Cherating supports their contribution and hard work. Hosting and serving them in return is our way to tell the courageous frontliners, thank you.”
Club Med has also been actively assisting the frontliners in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by donating 1,000 units of N95 masks and 2,000 units of surgical masks to the hospital, as well as to the Cherating District Police Station.
Club Med Cherating’s staff, or better known as GOs (Gentils Organisateurs) also came together to provide homemade bread for medical staff on duty at the hospital.
Besides our frontliners, Club Med has also introduced a new initiative, Club Med at Home — a digital and social media campaign that encourages positivity through engaging online activities.
From delicious recipes, time-efficient workouts, and even family-friendly activities that will keep your little ones entertained while learning valuable skills, there’s something for everyone!

Club Med has also taken a number of measures to limit the severe impact that this crisis will have in the short term and will be entirely available, as soon as the current health risks are no longer a concern, to organize the postponement of the planned stays or the future travel plans of customers, as well as the assignment of the teams, under the best possible conditions.
