Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, is a celebration of good over evil for the Hindu community.
The festival was celebrated recently on 14 November and to mark the occasion, Pos Malaysia presented its Deepavali 2020 stamp collection, which features ten intricate Kolam-inspired designs.

The stamp sheet features a Diya (festive oil lamp) decorative centrepiece with the message “May the light shine upon you this festive season”, making it a unique festive gift for celebrants.
The Deepavali stamp collection is available for purchase in the form of folder sets and stamp sheets. The folder set is priced at RM38.00 consisting of a stamp sheet with ten 60 sen stamps, a folder, three souvenir covers (envelopes), and three postcards. The stamp sheet is priced at RM25 per piece.
Avid stamp collectors and enthusiasts should get their copy of this unique collection, as there are only 500 folder sets and 200 stamp sheets produced for this limited series. So, you need to hurry before it’s all gone!

The Deepavali limited edition stamps is the fourth installment of festive-themed stamps issued by Pos Malaysia this year, following the issuance of Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and Gawai and Kaamatan Harvest Festivals.
The limited-edition stamp collection is now available for purchase at Pos Malaysia’s new online Shop, while for walk-in purchases, it will be available at all 13 General Post Offices nationwide on 18 November 2020.
