Jakarta-born and LA-based singer-songwriter NIKI has solidified her place as one of today's most dynamic artists with the release of her latest album, Buzz, under 88rising.

The album's title track is accompanied by a visually captivating music video directed by Isaac Ravishankara, which cleverly mirrors the lyrics, capturing the exhilarating and bittersweet emotions of new love. The album’s theme, inspired by the vibrant growth NIKI observed in her garden each spring, symbolises fresh beginnings across its thirteen tracks.
Following the success of singles like the summer hit “Tsunami,” the astrology-infused “Blue Moon,” and the playful “Too Much of a Good Thing,” Buzz is a warm, folk-rock collection that reflects NIKI’s journey of self-discovery. “I went through an identity crisis,” the 25-year-old artist admits. “This album is about finding myself and feeling on the cusp of something new.”
NIKI’s rise to global stardom began in Jakarta, where she honed her craft by writing poems and performing acoustic covers on YouTube. Today, she boasts over three billion streams, sold-out shows across continents, and appearances at major festivals worldwide. Her work has also been featured on a Marvel film soundtrack, and she continues to impress with her deeply personal and confessional songwriting.
Buzz showcases NIKI’s intimate, guitar-driven lyricism, drawing inspiration from icons like Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, and Liz Phair. To capture the album's essence, NIKI collaborated with producers like Tyler Chester and Ethan Gruska, known for their work with artists such as Sara Bareilles and Phoebe Bridgers.
To celebrate the release, NIKI will embark on a world tour produced by Live Nation, with a series of shows scheduled across Asia:
