The SYOK team had the absolute best time catching Jung Yong Hwa live in Kuala Lumpur and it was truly a night to remember.

It has been a while since we last joined Malaysian BOICE at a concert. The last one was when CNBLUE came to Malaysia for their CNBLUENTITY tour, so the excitement was high as we gathered once again. This time it was for Yong Hwa’s solo tour Director’s Cut: Our Fine Days, which also marked his 10th anniversary as a solo artist.
From the moment we stepped into the arena, the energy was undeniable. Fans were buzzing with excitement and when Yong Hwa appeared, starting off close to the crowd before taking the stage, the atmosphere went wild.
He opened the show with fan favourites like One Fine Day, Make Your Mine, Small Talk and I Got Ya. The whole arena became a singalong session and Yong Hwa showed once again that his charisma and stage presence, whether with CNBLUE or as a solo artist, remain just as powerful.
To the delight of Malaysian BOICE, Yong Hwa spoke plenty of Bahasa Malaysia to connect with fans. If you remember his iconic “Janji” moment, he brought it back once more. He even greeted the crowd with “Apa khabar, sayang?” which sent everyone into loud screams of excitement.

The setlist was a perfect mix of emotional and upbeat songs, including Letter, Would You Marry Me, On Your Time, Note to Self, Almost Forever and Red. Each song carried a personal touch, making fans feel like they were part of a very special moment.
Yong Hwa gave his all with over 20 songs across more than three hours of music. His encore included 27 Years (10 Years), For First Time Lovers, Heartstring and Glory Days. Even after that, he returned to the stage several times as fans refused to leave, performing more songs to show his love and dedication to Malaysian BOICE.
Before leaving the stage for the final time, Yong Hwa promised he would return. Whether for another solo concert or with CNBLUE, he reassured fans that he could keep performing for another ten years because of the love he continues to receive from them.
Jung Yong Hwa truly embodies comfort and reassurance, always making sure his love for fans is clear. In return, fans gave that same love back to him in abundance.
